Occupational health and safety risk assessment is a method to estimate health risks from exposure to various levels of workplace hazard(s). It is important to understand how much exposure to a hazard will present health risks to workers to appropriately eliminate, control, and reduce those risks. The assessment is done to evaluate the risk involved in the workplace with objectives to remove, reduce, and replace the source of risk with a safer equipment or process, or to lessen the risk to the health and safety of the workers.
